Kim has been appointed Judge by the Illinois Supreme Court
Effective February 20, 2025, Judge Kim Przekota was appointed Resident Circuit Judge of Cook County, 11th Subcircuit, to fill the vacancy created by the retirement of the Honorable Mary Colleen Roberts. She was sworn-in as a Judge by the Chief Justice of the Illinois Supreme Court, Justice Mary Jane Theis. Now a sitting Judge, Judge Kim Przekota will run to keep her newly appointed position in the 2026 election.
